Ametherm Releases New ACCU-Curve Series Thermistor With Insulated Tinned-Copper Leads

Interchangeable Device Eliminates Conduction Between Leads for the Highest Temperature Sensing Accuracy

CARSON CITY, Nev. April 09, 2018 Ametherm today announced that the company has extended the capabilities of its ACCU-Curve series of interchangeable NTC thermistors with the ACL-011. This new device features insulated tinned-copper leads, ensuring the most accurate temperature sensing with no unintended conduction between leads.

Ametherm’s ACL-011 delivers long-term stability and reliability for high-accuracy temperature sensing, control, and compensation in medical, industrial, and automotive applications. The device offers interchangeability over a broad temperature range and eliminates the need to individually calibrate or provide circuit compensation for part variability.

Offering a diameter of 1.7 mm and 32 AWG leads, the epoxy-coated thermistor features resistance at 25 °C of 50 kW, with a tolerance of ± 1 %. The ACL-011 offers Beta of 3950 °K, a dissipation constant of 3 mW/°C, maximum power rating of 50 mW, and an operating temperature range of – 40 °C to + 125 °C.

Providing designers with faster, less-expensive alternatives to RTD probes and thermocouples — without compromising on accuracy, Ametherm’s ACCU-Curve series thermistors deliver the tight tolerances required for accurate temperature measurement in critical medical instrumentation and can be potted in a variety of housings for temperature compensation circuits in industrial and automotive applications.

The ACL-011 is available direct or through distributors such as Digi-Key and Mouser. Samples and production quantities are available now, with lead times of 12 weeks for large orders. Volume pricing for U.S. delivery starts at $1.37 per piece. Follow Ametherm at our company blog, https://www.ametherm.com/blog/.
